Water Quality
What is actually in metro Atlanta tap water?

Municipal water in metro Atlanta is treated to federal standards, but it still commonly carries chlorine and chloramine used for disinfection, hardness minerals that scale up appliances, sediment from aging distribution lines, and in some areas trace PFAS (“forever chemicals”). A free AOG Springs water test shows you exactly what is coming out of your taps, in plain English.

Getting Started
What does a free water test include?

An AOG Springs technician tests your water at the tap for hardness, chlorine/chloramine, pH, total dissolved solids and iron, walks you through the results on the spot, and leaves you a written copy. It takes about 30 minutes, there is no charge, and there is never an obligation to buy anything.

Systems
What is the difference between whole-home filtration and an under-sink filter?

An under-sink or pitcher filter only treats the water at one faucet. A whole-home (point-of-entry) system treats every drop entering the house, so showers, laundry, appliances and every tap get filtered water. If you are concerned about chlorine in shower steam, scale in your water heater, or staining, whole-home filtration is the right tool.

Do I need a water softener in Georgia?

Much of metro Atlanta has moderately hard water. Hardness will not make you sick, but it shortens the life of water heaters and appliances, leaves spots on dishes and glass, and dries out skin and hair. If your test shows meaningful hardness, a softener or conditioner protects your home; if it does not, we will tell you that you do not need one.

Pricing
How much does a whole-home water filtration system cost?

It depends on your water and your home — that is why we test first. As a rule of thumb, professionally installed whole-home systems range from a few thousand dollars for filtration alone to more for combined filtration, softening and drinking-water systems. After your free water test you get a fixed written quote with no surprises.

Installation
How long does installation take?

Most AOG Springs installations are completed in a single day by a licensed installer. Your water is typically only off for an hour or two during the changeover, and we leave the work area cleaner than we found it.

Maintenance
How often does a filtration system need maintenance?

It varies by system, but most whole-home systems need a filter change or media check once a year. AOG Springs offers scheduled maintenance so you never have to remember — we reach out when your system is due and keep everything running at full protection.

Company
What does AOG Springs mean?

AOG stands for Armor of God — a reminder of what we believe protection means, and the standard we hold ourselves to when we protect your home. Springs speaks to fresh, living, plentiful water. Together: dependable protection and pure water for your family.

What areas does AOG Springs serve?

AOG Springs is based in Peachtree Corners and serves homeowners across metro Atlanta and North Georgia. If you are not sure whether you are in our service area, reach out — if we cannot help, we will point you to someone reputable who can.

Is AOG Springs only about water filtration?

Water is where we start, because it touches everything in a healthy home. Over time AOG Springs is growing into a full healthy-home partner — think air quality, and other upgrades that make a house genuinely better to live in. Every product we add is held to the same standard: we would put it in our own homes.
